Lab Technician (LAB)

Program Overview
The lab technician provides a variety of laboratory testing that assists an ordering physician in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Lab technicians work in a variety of settings such as hospitals, clinics, industry, research, and private testing centers.
Program Outcomes
- Collect, process, and analyze urine/blood specimens and or other substances.
- Perform routine clinical laboratory testing(s).
- Demonstrate professionalism and apply legal and ethical responsibilities within the healthcare environment.
- Demonstrate knowledge of infection control and apply all safety practices.
- Demonstrate professional interpersonal, oral, and written communications to best serve the needs of patients.
FYE1110
First Year Experience is required for all students to take in year 1, fall semester. Students must receive a passing grade.
