College Credit Plus (CCP) gives students in grades 7-12 the opportunity to take college courses for free and earn high school and college credit before graduating from high school. College credits can be earned during summer, fall, and spring terms. Flexible class scheduling allows students the ability to enjoy school activities that fit around college classes.

College Credit Plus Enrollment Checklist

Use the step-by-step checklist guide to help focus on next steps:

  1. Review information about CCP benefits, risks, and program requirements.
    • CCP Information sessions are conducted October 1 – February 15 at Belmont College and area high schools.
    • Notify your school guidance counselor’s office of your interest in participating in CCP by March 30.
  2. Check with the College Pathway Advisor for program requirements, guidelines, and important deadlines.
  3. Complete the free online Application for Admission to Belmont College.
  4. Complete a CCP Permission Slip and email this form to sfletcher@belmontcollege.edu and pcarbon@belmontcollege.edu.
  5. Determine college readiness in one of the following ways:
    • Obtain a remediation-free score on the ACT, SAT, or ACCUPLACER (Belmont College offers the ACCUPLACER and accepts recent ACT and/or SAT scores).
    • Have a cumulative unweighted high school grade point average of at least 3.00.
    • Have a cumulative unweighted high school grade point average of at least 2.75 but less than 3.00 and receive an “A” or “B” grade in a relevant high school course.
  6. Have your HS Counselor send a copy of your unofficial transcript to: pcarbon@belmontcollege.edu and sfletcher@belmontcollege.edu
    • Once you have been accepted, schedule an appointment with Patrick. If the student is taking courses offered at/through the high school, they need to go through their HS Counselor to get put onto the roster.
  7. Attend a ‘First-Year Experience’ New Student Orientation designed specifically for high school students.
  8. Attend your classes!
