Faculty Spotlight

Dr. Heather Davis

You can say anything with a smile.

From the time she joined Belmont College in 2011, Dr. Davis made sure that her classroom was a comfortable, fun, and enjoyable space that encouraged students to attend, participate, and learn. Throughout her teaching career, she focused on equipping her students with the skills to launch their careers. In June of 2022, she accepted the position of Dean of Academic Affairs.

Dr. Davis has been with Belmont College since 2011, serving as professor and faculty lead in Mental Health, Early Childhood Education, and Social/Behavioral Sciences. She founded the Belmont College Veterans Association, has participated as a psychology TAG panel member for the state of Ohio, earned a certificate in effective college instruction from the Association of College and University Educators and the American Council on Education, and in 2022 graduated from the Leadership Academy for Student Success through the Ohio Association of Community Colleges. A licensed professional counselor (LPC) and certified advanced drug and alcohol counselor (CAADC), Dr. Davis has worked as a therapist for over 20 years. She graduated with a BS in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh, and earned an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Seton Hill University and a PhD in Psychology from Capella University.
