If you’re transferring credit from another college to complete a degree at Belmont, follow the steps below to learn how to begin your degree or certificate. Want to learn more about Belmont before you apply? Schedule a campus visit.

Apply for admission.

Find the right academic program for you. Complete an Application for Admission.  There’s no fee to apply.

Send your transcripts.

Ask your previous institution(s) to send your official transcript(s) directly to Belmont College Registrar Office, 68094 Hammond Road, St. Clairsville, OH 43950. Depending on the number of credits you’ve completed, placement testing may be required.

Apply for financial aid.

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. The Belmont College code is 009941. Finalize your FAFSA as early as possible to ensure your financial aid is processed in time to pay for your classes. If you have questions, contact the Financial Aid Office at 740.695.8510 or financialaid@belmontcollege.edu.

Register for classes.

You’ll meet with an academic advisor to plan your schedule and make sure you’re in the right courses for your program.

Pay tuition and fees.

If you’re eligible for financial aid, those funds will be applied to your bill. Payment arrangements can be made through the Business Office if you don’t receive financial aid or owe a balance.

Buy your books at the Belmont College Bookstore.

If you have available financial aid to buy books, you’ll receive a book voucher to use at the Campus Shop. Please verify with the Financial Aid Office that your aid has been processed and approved if you plan to use aid funds for books.

Attend classes.

If you’re taking online courses, log into Canvas by the first day of class.
