Faculty Spotlight

Ailsa Vogelsang

Fire and EMS providers never say ‘can’t.’ They say, ‘what can we do with what we’ve got?’

Director Vogelsang began her career in the U.S. Army as a medic in 1987. She’s remained in healthcare her entire career—the past 25 as a nationally registered and Ohio certified EMS provider. She’s been teaching for over 20 years, and began her Belmont career as a CPR instructor in 2001. She has served as program director since 2009.

Director Vogelsang earned an Associate of Arts degree in Belmont College’s Paramedic program, earned her Bachelor’s in Technical and Applied Studies from Ohio University, and went on to earn her Master’s in Adult Education at Muskingum University.
