Forging friendships, launching a career.

“After graduating from high school and spending the summer working as a tree trimmer, I decided to check out Belmont College. I’d heard about their Civil Engineering program, and  always thought that would be cool career to pursue. My visit to the campus convinced me to enroll and start my future.

During my four semesters at Belmont, I’ve been able build my knowledge, skills, and self-confidence. I’ve really enjoyed my time here. I look forward to making the drive to class every day. The friendships I’ve established while I’ve been here will last a lifetime. My instructors have been great; they truly care about all their students, and they go the extra mile to make sure we succeed in the classroom. I feel like we’re all in this together as we work as team on projects in a real-world work environment.

Thanks to receiving the Trustees Scholarship and the Choose Ohio First Scholarship, I’ve been able to get my education without a loan, so I’ll be able to start my career without the burden of debt. I’ve made Dean’s List every semester so far, and when I graduate after this semester, I’ll join my twin brother Avery—who graduated from Belmont in May—at American Consolidated Natural Resources in St. Clairsville as an operations engineer trainee.

If you’re considering furthering your education to prepare for your future, I’d look into Belmont College. Whether it’s Civil Engineering or another program, you’ll find what you’re looking for.”
