I chose Belmont College because I was able to take classes through the College Credit Plus program for high school students. That made it possible for me to start the Mental Health Technology program as a high school sophomore. I chose the Mental Health Technology program because I was interested in learning about mental illnesses and how I could help those who are battling them. I earned an Associate of Science, an Associate of Applied Science in Mental Health Technology, and a Chemical Dependency Assistant Certificate.
During my time at at Belmont College, I completed 88 credit hours—in person and online, with very helpful teachers who wanted to see their students succeed—all of which I’ve transferred to Wheeling University, where I completed my degree. I am now enrolled at Marietta College studying to be a physician’s assistant.
My journey through these programs has prepared me to confidently enter the mental health field and continue my education.
