Belmont College Students Receive Rumer-Loudin, Inc. Scholarship

St. Clairsville, OH (February 11, 2024) – Belmont College is pleased to announce that three of their HVAC/R (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning Refrigeration) students have been awarded the Rumer-Loudin, Inc. Scholarship.

The recipients are as follows:

  • Tyler Day – Bridgeport, OH
  • Sawyer Moore – Bethesda, OH
  • Daniel Zwack – St. Clairsville, OH

The scholarship awarded each student $2,000.00 for the academic year.

“So many companies complain about the lack of available workforce so we thought we would try to alleviate that in our own small way,” said Kellie Loudin, Vice President, Rumer-Loudin, Inc. “We decided to become involved with the HVAC program through on the College’s HVAC advisory board, instructing, as well as offering this scholarship so we can support the program, encourage students, and create awareness of the heating, air conditioning, and ventilation trade.

She continued, “It is important us to award students for their diligence and responsibility. We hope to continue awarding scholarships well into the future.”

To be eligible for the Rumer-Loudin, Inc. Scholarship at Belmont College, a student must be enrolled in the second-year HVAC program, demonstrate academic excellence evident by class performance, attendance, professor evaluation, and complete a short essay. Recipients must maintain a 2.6 or higher cumulative grade point average and exemplary attendance.

This is the first time this scholarship has been awarded at Belmont.

According to Keith Kaczor, Director of Industrial Trades, “Rumer-Loudin, Inc. is an outstanding HVAC company in the Ohio Valley, and we are thankful for their dedication to our students. Their support of our HVAC students is one of the reasons why our program is so exceptional, and we appreciate their ongoing support.”
