St. Clairsville, OH (June 5, 2025) – Belmont College is pleased to announce the continued success of its collaboration with Sheetz Corporation, a family-owned convenience store and gas station chain operating more than 700 stores across the Mid-Atlantic region.

This partnership exemplifies how Belmont College aligns education with real-world employer needs, creating tangible career pathways for students. In Summer 2024, six Belmont students majoring in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) completed internships with Sheetz’s in-house construction crew, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic industry setting.

“At Sheetz, we’re always looking for employees who are not just skilled, but also ready to step into the fast-paced, high-standards environment we operate,” said Mark Grosso, Sheetz Corporation Project Manager. “Belmont College students consistently bring a strong technical foundation, a great work ethic, and a readiness to grow that sets them apart.”

The strength of this collaboration is further demonstrated by employment outcomes: three Belmont College graduates are now employed full-time within Sheetz’s construction division, while two additional alumni work as skilled technicians in the maintenance division. These direct-to-hire opportunities highlight Belmont’s commitment to producing job-ready graduates who meet the evolving needs of regional and national employers.

“Through our work with Sheetz, we are not just placing students into internships — we are helping them launch lasting careers,” said Keith Kaczor, Director of Industrial Trades Program at Belmont College. “This is the future of education, working hand-in-hand with employers to deliver skilled professionals who can immediately contribute to the workforce.”

Building on this success, the program will expand this summer, offering internships to 10 students, with goals to reach 20 placements in future years. These internships provide students with practical industry experience and direct pathways into high-demand careers.

“We’re proud of the relationship we’ve built with Belmont through the internship program, and we’re excited to expand these opportunities in the coming years,” added Grosso. “It’s clear that Belmont College is preparing students for real-world success, and that’s exactly the kind of talent we want on our team.”

Belmont College remains committed to expanding industry connections that directly benefit students, ensuring every program aligns with current employment trends and long-term workforce needs.
