Belmont College Expanding Higher Education Opportunities in the Ohio Valley
St. Clairsville, OH (February 28, 2024) – Belmont College is pleased to announce that they are expanding existing higher education opportunities in Belmont County with a new location in Martins Ferry, Ohio.
Classes will be offered in the Kendall Behavioral Solutions building, located at 611 Walnut Street, Martins Ferry beginning May 28th with the start of the Summer 2024 Semester. Ample parking and classroom space will be available for students.
Kendall Behavioral Solutions will continue to operate all of their services in their current location with zero disruption. Belmont College will be renting the chapel location next door to their business.
“The College has been working with Project Forward, a revitalization group in Martins Ferry, to find classroom space in the area for quite some time, said President Dr. Paul F. Gasparro. “I believe that the community will benefit from this new centralized location, and with such strong support from residents, I see no reason why higher education won’t continue to grow in the area.”
The Martins Ferry location will offer general courses based on students’ needs and interest.
“We want to make it easy for individuals to access the classes that they need in order to complete their degree and/or certificate,” said Dr. Heather Davis, Vice President of Academic Affairs. “With this new location, we are working to accomplish a higher degree of educational attainment for the residents of the Ohio Valley, which will lead to an increase in family income and a better quality of life.”
She continued, “It is our hope that this new Martins Ferry location will also assist some of the Eastern Gateway Community College (EGCC) students who had their degree plans interrupted.
