Belmont College Associate Degree Nursing Program Receives Full Five-Year Approval from Ohio Board of Nursing
St. Clairsville, OH (February 5, 2026) — Belmont College is pleased to announce that at the Ohio Board of Nursing has granted Full Approval to their Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program for a period of five years.
Full approval is granted in accordance with Section 4723.06(A)(5) of the Ohio Revised Code to programs that meet and maintain the requirements of Chapter 4723-5 of the Ohio Administrative Code. This decision was based upon the two-day on-site survey visit by the Ohio Board of Nursing done Oct 22-23, 2025. The ADN program has met and maintained all required standards and was officially granted full approval by the Board at its regularly scheduled meeting on January 21, 2026. The Board’s minutes serve as the official record of the program’s approval status.

Belmont College maintains two nursing programs: the Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program and the Practical Nursing (PN) certificate program. Both programs are designed to provide students with a strong scientific foundation in nursing practice while developing essential technical skills. Under the direct supervision of qualified instructors, students engage in hands-on patient interactions, in-class instruction, and hospital-based clinical experiences that foster caring, empathetic approaches to nursing care.

The nursing faculty overseeing the ADN and PN programs represent a wide range of professional expertise, including medical-surgical nursing, maternal and infant nursing, chronic disease management, mental health nursing, critical care, administrative nursing, pediatric nursing, public health, and home health care.
All Belmont College nursing programs are housed in the College’s Health Sciences Center, the region’s premier healthcare education facility. The center features state-of-the-art classrooms and advanced science laboratories for biology, anatomy, and chemistry. These modern learning environments support collaboration, innovation, and immersive educational experiences for nursing students.
Applications for admission to the Belmont College nursing programs are now open. The College is accepting applications for the Fall 2026 term online at belmontcollege.edu/nursing through May 1, 2026.
