In 1979, a group of Belmont County women recognized the lack of support for those experiencing domestic violence and founded what is now the Tri-County Help Center. Today, TCHC serves Belmont, Harrison and Monroe counties as a nonprofit victim service provider and behavioral health agency, offering emergency shelter, advocacy, counseling, case management and community education. With a holistic, person-centered, trauma-informed approach, TCHC supports each survivor’s unique path to healing. With more than four decades of leadership in education and advocacy, this session highlights TCHC’s services, programs and impact on survivors and the broader community.
