Our two-year Allied Health Administration program is the perfect complement to those holding allied health certificates who wish to advance into a management role in their field. This program is designed to provide you with a balance of medical and administrative knowledge to help launch your career.
Additionally, this degree is designed to prepare you to transfer to a four-year college to earn your bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Healthcare Management, Health Information Technology, Pharmaceutical Marketing & Management, and other high demand careers.
Belmont’s Associate’s Degree in Allied Health Administration can be taken completely online or a combination of online with in-person learning.
Program Outcomes
- Seamless progression to a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Administration.
- Apply general knowledge of anatomy & physiology, medical terminology, and psychology in administration aspects of health care.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of medical business practices, including billing & coding procedures, along with reimbursement practices in health care.
- Demonstrate clear & effective oral and written communication skills, critical thinking, & problem-solving measures in the workplace.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA), and other applicable healthcare laws.
FYE1110
First Year Experience is required for all students to take in year 1, fall semester. Students must receive a passing grade.
