A survey course in Mathematics designed to improve problem solving, critical thinking, and quantitative reasoning skills. While this course is designed for students not intending to continue on to higher-level Mathematics courses, the course does examine diverse applications of contemporary Mathematics and provide an understanding of the role of Mathematics in society and daily life. This understanding is accomplished by studying selected topics from Set Theory, Number Theory, Algebra, Math of Finance, and Probability.
