Digital Electronics 2 is a continuation of Digital Electronics 1. This course introduces the students to integrated circuits and devices used in digital electronics. The design operation and troubleshooting of digital circuits are studied. Topics include adders/subtractors/ ALUs, encoders/decoders, multiplexers/demultiplexers, flip-flops/latches, counters, shift registers, memory and storage, integrated circuit technologies, microprocessors, computers and buses, and digital signal processsing. Laboratory experiments provide hands-on experience with the devices and circuits studied in the classroom. Three hours lecture, three hours laboratory per week. Course fee of $25. (Prerequisite: ETC 121)
