This course provides an introduction to multimedia and design along with how best to display information so that it can be used to help convey a message or make decisions. Studies will include hardware and software components necessary for multimedia production, good design concepts using storyboard techniques, an introduction to non-linear navigational concepts, and how to create graphs, charts, images that could be shown electronically, on paper, or on the web. Students will produce and evaluate effective and efficient information designs. Students will use the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) approach to solve problems. The Microsoft PowerPoint software and its creation slide presentations will also be covered in this course.
