This course introduces an overview of, 'what is a cleanroom', what kind of activities happen in a cleanroom and safe practices in a cleanroom. The course focuses on gowning, PPE, operations and safe handling of materials in a cleanroom. Upon completion of the course, students should be able to: 1) explain what a cleanroom is; 2) apply proper safety practices in a cleanroom environment; 3) identify proper PPE and why it is used; 4) how to safely handle the material and supplies in a cleanroom environment.
