Anatomy & Physiology I

First semester of a two-semester sequence covering the study of human anatomy and physiology. The course is designed to provide the student with an overview of the organization of the human body and an appreciation of the relationship between the structure of the body and the way it functions. Topics include the chemical level of organization, cell structure and metabolism, tissue organization and function, and the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, and sensory systems. Students must also register for a laboratory section to apply and assimilate information learned in lecture.
