Translating knowledge into a career.

A medical coder is an essential member of a health care team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for translating important medical information into simple codes to document medical records and ensure accurate reimbursement.

In this one-year, fully online program, you’ll develop an understanding of medical coding as a data collection tool; gain an in-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, and medical terminology; and master the principles of medical coding, which is critical to health care services reimbursement. Once you’ve graduated, you’ll be able to apply your skills to proper CPT-4 and ICD-10 coding in various health care settings.
