Water quality technicians make sure our water is safe by looking for microbes and chemical contaminants in drinking water and wastewater. If you’re interested in joining their ranks, Belmont’s Water Quality Technician program will give you a broad, science-based education. You’ll study water testing, environmental science, fresh and wastewater plant operation, and automation systems. The curriculum also covers such areas as analytical means, plant operation, water plan construction, and automation systems.
Once you complete the Water Quality Technician Program, you’ll be prepared to work in analytical laboratories or municipal water treatment facilities. This program equips you with the skills needed to pursue a career in water supply or water reclamation management.
